THE BEGINNINGS
Our story begins with a dream: Alex Maccan’s, who has been spending time in these places since he was a child and recognises their simplicity and beauty. In time and with the determination of business-savvy people, the dream became a reality in partnership with his lifelong friends Marta, Giovanni and Massimo.
United by a vision, the people behind Le Monde complement each other in a team effort that is based on individual talent and fuelled by a common passion: the passion for the land, for wine, and for the sensations it induces. A heritage to be shared inside and outside the company.
With our roots firmly planted in our land, we have been able to venture out into the world, certain that the qualities of our wine are valuable, recognisable, and distinctive. Today Le Monde wines are distributed all over the world, with a production of more than 700,000 bottles per year.
THE LAND
A country farmhouse was reborn as a contemporary winery, while the vineyard is being cared for once again: we have treasured the old grapevines that are still productive, planted new ones, and acquired new plots.
A COMPANY DEDICATED TO VITICULTURE
Le Monde is located in the heart of an area known for its soil, which is ideal for viticulture and for a high quality production. Thanks to advanced techniques and tireless work in the vineyard, we produce wines that seduce with simplicity and elegance.
SUSTAINABILITY
KNOWLEDGE OF THE SOIL AND OF GRAPES
Respect for nature, its cycles, and its potential is at the heart of our mission. We combine knowledge of the land and the grapes with technological expertise to get the most out of the fruits that the land gives us. For us, responsible cultivation and high-quality wines go hand in hand, because making wine sustainably means preserving natural resources and protect the land. That’s why we do not use herbicides and employ renewable energy sources. The SQNPI certification (Sistema Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata – Integrated Crop Management National Quality System) is the proof of our commitment to the environment.
